Gucci Fucci Gucci

I've had Gucci on the brain lately, starting this week with an inquiry email from a potential client. The exchange has been leading me into learning a lot more about the wonderful world of Gucci and prompted me to buy this book:

It was published in the 1980s, so no doubt all bags mentioned will be vintage by now.. I'm hoping to get a better idea of model numbers and names of all the different bags produced throughout the years. It just further reinforces how you can never stop learning in any given field. I consider myself somewhat knowledgeable in certain niche areas of vintage fashion, but obvi I am no expert and always want to know more! 

Also today, I received a link to a video by my friend Tracey of The Thrifting Magpie, about fake Gucci bags. It's part of a Fashionphile campaign against knock-offs and ridding the world of them... do take a look and like it, as it's part of a competition! 

In other news I can report that I won this real Christian Lacroix bag at auction yesterday... it's hopefully just a taste of what's to come from the Heritage Luxury Accessories Auctions in less than 2 weeks! Can't wait...
